AutoSave is an authorized electricity-supply management service. Here's the full process, the pricing approach, and the limitations you should understand before enrolling.
1. You authorize
You enroll and authorize AutoSave to manage your electricity supply on your behalf under the current agreement.
2. It compares
AutoSave compares a personalized Think Energy supply rate with your utility's applicable benchmark (such as the Price to Compare).
3. It manages changes
When a qualifying change applies, AutoSave manages the supply change for you. Rates can change monthly and aren't disclosed in advance.
4. You get notices
You receive notices about activity. Your utility still delivers electricity, handles outages, and bills you.
The pricing approach
AutoSave compares a personalized Think Energy electricity supply rate with your utility's applicable benchmark. When a qualifying change applies, the service manages the supply change on your behalf.
Rates can change monthly and are not disclosed in advance. Electricity supply is only one part of your total bill — delivery charges, utility fees, and taxes still apply.
Who's who in Ohio
- Setup My Power — the independent Energy Advisor website you're on now. May receive referral compensation.
- Think Home Solutions, LLC — the AutoSave service provider in Ohio. Separate from Setup My Power, Think Energy, and your utility.
- Think Energy — the electricity supply brand whose rate is compared.
- Your utility — delivers electricity, handles outages, and bills you.
Honest limitations
What AutoSave does not do
- It is not a fixed-rate contract.
- It is not a comparison of every supplier in the market.
- Enrollment does not guarantee a switch or savings.
- Rates are not disclosed in advance.
- It does not deliver electricity or handle outages.
- It does not promise reimbursement of another supplier's fees.
Supply-benchmark protection is subject to the agreement and has exclusions — including time-of-use supply, demand meters, demand rate classes, and later utility benchmark adjustments. When marketing summaries conflict with the agreement, the agreement controls.
