AutoSave vs. a fixed-rate electricity plan.

Two different ways to handle electricity supply. Here's an honest comparison — without fabricated competitor prices.

AspectFixed-rate planAutoSave
What it isA contract locking a supply rate for a set term.An authorized service managing supply changes over time.
Rate visibilityYou know the rate for the full term.Rates can change monthly and aren't disclosed in advance.
EffortYou research, compare, and manage renewals yourself. The service manages qualifying changes for you.
ContractFixed term, expiration, possible early-termination fees.Authorization under the AutoSave agreement.
Comparison scopeYou compare many suppliers in the market.Compares a Think Energy rate with your utility's benchmark — not every supplier.
Savings guaranteeNo guarantee — a locked rate can rise or fall vs. the market. No guarantee of a switch or savings.

When a fixed-rate plan might suit you

If you want a predictable rate for a known term and don't mind researching suppliers and managing renewals, a fixed-rate contract gives you control and visibility.

When AutoSave might suit you

If you'd rather not manually shop and renew, AutoSave manages qualifying supply changes for you through authorization. You trade advance rate visibility for ongoing managed comparison.

Neither option guarantees savings. An existing supplier or aggregation offer could already be competitive. Review rates, expiration dates, and possible termination fees before authorizing a change. AutoSave does not promise reimbursement of another supplier's cancellation fee.
