How to read your electricity bill in Wilmington, Ohio.

1. Find your utility

Your utility is the company that delivers electricity over poles and wires and handles outages. It's usually named prominently on the bill. Don't assume your ZIP code (45177) determines your utility — read it from the bill.

2. Find your supplier

Your supplier provides the electricity itself (generation). If you haven't shopped, your utility may also be your supplier. If you have shopped, a separate supplier name appears. AutoSave manages this supply portion through authorization.

3. Find your kWh usage

Kilowatt-hours (kWh) measure how much electricity you used in the billing period. For small businesses, annual usage matters for eligibility — official summaries differ at the 100,000-kWh boundary.

4. Find your supply rate

Your supply rate is the price per kWh for generation. This is the part AutoSave compares against your utility's applicable benchmark. Rates can change monthly and aren't disclosed in advance under AutoSave.

5. Separate delivery from supply

Delivery covers poles, wires, and outage response — it stays with your utility. Supply covers generation. Only the supply portion is affected by AutoSave. Delivery, utility fees, and taxes still apply.

6. Check the total

The total is supply + delivery + fees + taxes. Supply is only one part of your total bill. Don't compare a supply rate to your total bill amount — that's apples to oranges.
